The feelings of peace and connection were the reasons he decided to return for a second time.
Purpose of the Second Visit
Returning to the monastery for a second time, Mateusz wanted to reflect on his life over the past year and see if he had been living in accordance with the Dharma.
For him, this was an opportunity to review his life, uphold the Five Precepts, and prepare everything for the coming year.
He considers it a wonderful place to visit at the beginning of the year.
Plans in Vietnam and at the Monastery
Mateusz stated that he was only at the monastery for one day to attend the 12th memorial service for Venerable Master Thich Thong Lac.
He plans to stay in Vietnam for another month before he has to leave as his visa expires.
Impressions of Venerable Master Thich Thong Lac
What impressed Mateusz the most about Venerable Master Thich Thong Lac was how the Master focused on the core teachings of original Buddhism.
He believes that living according to the rules and teachings of the Venerable Master will lead to a happy life.
Thanks to the Master's teachings, Mateusz completely changed his perspective on Buddhism and feels happier.
Impressions of Master Thich Mat Hanh
Mateusz has met Master Thich Mat Hanh before, but only from a distance.
He feels that Master Thich Mat Hanh radiates a positive and peaceful energy.
However, since the Master's teachings are in Vietnamese, he finds it difficult to fully grasp the Dharma. He expressed a desire for more English translations of the Master's lectures.
